High-ceilinged salon with sofas, plants and paintings

The house

A neoclassical house of the nineteenth century, open to guests since 1919.

The Casa di Annalena was built in the nineteenth century, inspired by Neoclassicism, where Annalena Malatesta’s palace once stood. Its first and second floors have welcomed guests since 1919, when the Calastrini Rossoni family opened the Pensione Annalena.

The entrance

From Via Romana, a wide hall with a terracotta and white floor leads into the house and on towards the garden door. By the arched front door, two plaques still read Pensione Annalena and Casa di Annalena.

The salons

High ceilings, paintings, deep sofas and plants: the salons keep the look of a lived-in Florentine home.

Loggia and terraces

Between yellow columns, the loggia opens onto the greenery. Terraces wrapped in jasmine and climbing plants look over the gardens of the Oltrarno.

Breakfast
